President Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed reaffirms, at the award ceremony, “our commitment to local gastronomy, and support for tourism and the primary sector”.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The Provincial Council of Castell\u00f3n has held the gala presentation of diplomas of the new adherents to the brand ‘Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor’ which, on this occasion, have been 21 entities that become part of this great gastronomic family. In June, 45 other entities joined, so the total this year is 66 new companies that become part of this brand. <\/p>\n

In addition, the event also hosted the presentation of the Oto\u00f1o Gastron\u00f3mico awards: the first prize went to Gastroadictos de Segorbe; the second prize went to Casa Lola del Grao de Castell\u00f3; and the third prize went to La Carrasca de Culla.<\/p>\n

The event was presided over by the president of the provincial institution, Jos\u00e9 Mart\u00ed, who reaffirmed “our commitment to local gastronomy, so we will continue to work hard to make our products a high-level tourist attraction”.<\/p>\n

In addition, Mart\u00ed stressed that ‘Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor’ is gastronomy and tourism, “but it is also a decisive tool in the promotion and support of the primary sector. Thus, we promote our product, the market and catering, but we also support agriculture and livestock”.<\/p>\n

The event was also attended by the deputy of Tourism, Virginia Mart\u00ed, who has highlighted the large increase of adhering entities in recent years and has detailed that in 2018 there were 201 adhering entities and currently there are already more than twice as many, specifically 438.<\/p>\n

In this respect, the provincial deputy said that “these are “excellent figures that support the objectives we had set to consolidate, give prestige and disseminate the brand, and in a few years where we have had a pandemic, but we have not stopped working, and companies have not stopped believing in this project.<\/p>\n

As an example of this intense work, Virginia Mart\u00ed also mentioned the fact that all Michelin-starred restaurants in Castell\u00f3 are integrated in ‘Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor’ and are ambassadors of the brand at national and international level, “which gives us the visibility we needed”.<\/p>\n

The deputy also highlighted the Gastronomic Festival held in Benicarl\u00f3, which was a great success and was the launch of the project, “a solid project that we believe in”.<\/p>\n

For his part, the deputy of Rural Development, Santi Perez, has valued the work of all members of the brand ‘Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor’ “to be ambassadors, to make our products visible for everyone to know our product better”.<\/p>\n

Finally, both the president and the deputy Virginia Mart\u00ed and the deputy Santi P\u00e9rez have thanked all the people who are part of this project.<\/p>\n
