So said the president of the Provincial Council of Castell\u00f3n, Marta Barrachina, during his visit to the Christmas Fair Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor that this Friday, December 8 has opened its doors in the square Huerto Sogueros. &#8220;We bet because in these intimate dates of Christmas is consumed proximity and quality product as it encompasses the brand Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor,&#8221; said the president Marta Barrachina who, along with the vice president and head of the Tourism area, Andr\u00e9s Mart\u00ednez, has visited each of the exhibitors. This gastronomic showcase of Castell\u00f3n installed in the Huerto Sogueros square hosts until Sunday 10 the most typical flavors of this time in the province with products of proximity and high quality such as olive oil, truffles, liqueurs, jams, sausages or sweets. The program also includes product presentations and three showcookings offered by the three Michelin-starred restaurants in the province. The Cal Parad\u00eds restaurant in Vall d&#8217;Alba will give a culinary demonstration on the evening of Friday the 8th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., while the Atalaya restaurant in Alcossebre will do the same tomorrow, Saturday the 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the showcooking on Sunday the 10th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. will be given by the Ra\u00fal Resino restaurant in Benicarl\u00f3. The companies participating in this edition are Radixnostra, La Posteta, Licores Artesanos de Burriana, Mas de Rander, Tomata de Penjar d&#8217;Alcal\u00e0 de Xivert, Productos Geysel, Bolissim, Fruits de la Terra, Croquellanas, Mol\u00ed La Barona, Cooperativa de Viver, Licora, Olis Lo Canet\u00e0, Besalduch Valls, Finca Varona La Vella, Bar\u00f3n d&#8217;Alba, Mar Negre, Turrones Barber\u00e1 and La Somniada. <\/p>\n<p>The market will be open on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, while on Sunday 10 the hours will be from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. &#8220;The celebration of a new edition of this fair is part of our commitment to the products of our land. Gastronomic tourism is one of the fundamental pillars of the tourism policy that we carry out from the Provincial Council and where the Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor brand is more than consolidated,&#8221; said the president Marta Barrachina. In that sense, the Christmas Fair is part of the program designed by the Provincial Tourism Board in order to strengthen the Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor brand by adding its presence in gastronomic fairs at provincial and national level and thus achieve that the taste of Castell\u00f3n is tasted all year round. Strengthening the projection of the Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor brand is one of the four main lines of action of the 2024 budget of the Provincial Tourism Board. These accounts amount to almost 9.5 million euros and aim to position the province of Castell\u00f3n as a tourist destination of excellence.
