The Castell\u00f3n Provincial Council will involve catering professionals from Vinar\u00f2s, Benicarl\u00f3 and Pe\u00f1\u00edscola in its commitment to provincial gastronomy as a generator of new development opportunities in the towns through its guide brand Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The Provincial Council of Castell\u00f3n will involve the catering professionals of Vinar\u00f2s, Benicarl\u00f3 and Pe\u00f1\u00edscola in its commitment to provincial gastronomy as a generator of new development opportunities in the towns through its guide brand Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor, promoting their work as the best prescribers of the quality products of Castell\u00f3n. The Provincial Government and the Hospitality Association of Vinar\u00f2s promote a training day for hospitality professionals, which will take place on Wednesday May 15 at the Mercantile and Cultural Circle of this town in the Baix Maestrat. <\/p>\n

The provincial deputy of Rural Development, Pablo Roig, has assured that “this covocation is another step in the joint work we are doing with all the food and tourism sector to make gastronomy one of our most important future values for our people. There are many opportunities that are generated from the consumption of our products, from the production process itself to the enhancement of this cuisine as a tourist resource, and from the Provincial Government we work to take advantage of them all to serve the generation of employment and wealth in our municipalities.<\/p>\n

In this sense, Roig has encouraged the hospitality sector in the northern part of the province “to participate and join efforts together to further consolidate the gastronomy as a source of wealth and important tourist attraction so that more and more visitors know us through the flavors and excellent products that make up what is the best pantry of the Mediterranean”.<\/p>\n

This educational action, sponsored by the Provincial Council with 6,000 euros, aims to provide the hospitality sector with the necessary tools to become the best ambassadors of the provincial gastronomy, under the seal of quality ‘Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor’. The association has prepared a full program where producers and specialists in the field of tourism and gastronomy will share their experiences with attendees. <\/p>\n

The best ambassadors of Castell\u00f3n products<\/b><\/p>\n

Everything is designed to make this training day a useful tool to continue making the restaurateurs of the province of Castell\u00f3n the best ambassadors of the quality of the products of the province.<\/p>\n

After the accreditation of the participants, at 9:30 am will take place the presentation entitled ‘Creation and implementation of Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor. The importance of communication’, by Lled\u00f3 Novo and Alejandro Cabrera of the Department of Rural Development of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Castell\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Then, at 10:00 am, the auctioneer of the Vinar\u00f2s fish market, Andr\u00e9s Albiol, will give a talk on ‘The fish in the restoration’. This will be followed at 10:30 a.m. by a showcooking session featuring Castell\u00f3 Ruta de Sabor products offered by students from the Centre Integrat P\u00fablic de Formaci\u00f3 Professional (CIPFP) in Benicarl\u00f3, and at 11:15 a.m. by a tasting of Castell\u00f3n EVOOs given by Paloma Roures, a specialist in olive growing and olive oil technology and oil taster at Intercoop Consultor\u00eda. <\/p>\n

The day will close the round table ‘Tourism and Gastronomy’ in which will participate: Joan Viana, head of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism of Centre Integrat P\u00fablic de Formaci\u00f3 Professional (CIPFP) of Benicarl\u00f3; Rafael Miralles, president of the Hospitality Association of Vinar\u00f2s; and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Rold\u00e1n, tutor of training cycle Middle Grade Cooking and Gastronomy of Centre Integrat P\u00fablic de Formaci\u00f3 Professional (CIPFP) of Benicarl\u00f3.<\/p>\n
